Educate employees on handling customers with a nut allergy. If you do not know what tree nuts are then you have not educated yourself enough to be in the ice cream business.

What they boldly advertise: "juice of 3 fresh oranges" (for the orange creme) What you get: juice from a very common supermarket plastic bottle.

Great Ice Cream. I had a 2 scoop cone with Blueberry and Peppermint flavors. A refreshing combination. It is possible to order as many as 3 scoops in a cone or cup, however, the scoops are large and having a cup to hold your cone inside when having 2 or more scoops is a great decision. The menu also offers many housemade original creations, like sundaes and Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches and Mad Martha's famous mudpies. Go for Mad Martha's! Five Stars!

Excellent ice cream spot in Edgartown!

This ice cream is really good BUT the best way to enjoy it is above the pier overlooking the ferry. Anyone who complains about the price needs to realize that these are island prices; everything here is expensive.

They have a vast selection of mouthwatering ice creams flavors and beautiful salads .

I had a terrible experience at Mad Martha’s Ice Cream. The customer service is awful, and there are almost no guidelines for hygiene. When I told the lady working at the counter that my youngest son had a peanut allergy, she told us that all the ice cream flavors, whether they had peanut or not, had a 100% chance of cross-contamination. When I asked why, she told me that she uses the same spoon for all the flavors, and she doesn’t wash them at all afterwards. I was appalled, and my son was very much disappointed, but he decided that a cup of root beer would have been fine. But then, I was told that there were no cups left, even though I could see several cups left on the counter! Overall, the employee also had a bad attitude, and clearly had no sympathy for my son, who had just wanted a sweet treat. I doubt I will ever be coming back to this place and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

You always need an ice cream parlor in the summer don't you? This one is classical. Mad Martha's is an institution and is never disappointing.

Very overpriced. Smaller portions. Very Casual service. Disappointing overall experience. 10 year client. Will go to stop and shop and be happy with ice cream purchase.

They call this homemade ice cream but actually it's just a mix they put into a machine. They didn't know the specific ingredients of any of their ice creams as we were checking for food allergies. When we asked about specific items they just shrugged and said "we don't know."
